Poor Sally

Poor Sally Howe, heroine of Plotting for Beginners, has fallen on hard times. She's been troubled by a stalker - Glenys Wallis, a blonde barrister - who moved to Stoneymoor just to be near to Sally. Last week there was a nasty scene in Sally's study, and the upshot was the loss of Sally's writerly plait. Catch up with what's been happening to Sally in the Plotting for Beginners Blog...

Art gets muddled up with Life

"So what is it like, living with a writer?" an old friend asked my husband yesterday.

"Very difficult," he said. "I looked in the cupboard last week for something to eat and found nothing but spaghetti hoops."

"But you like spaghetti hoops," I said. "That's why I bought them."

"What?" he said.

"Oh no…sorry," I said. "It's Gus who likes spaghetti hoops."
