Mental – anxious.
Literary – I’ve given up reading The Secret Intensity of Everyday Life by William Nicholson due to its lack of narrative drive, and started reading The Red House by Mark Haddon. Where’d you go Bernadette is coming in the post. Some novels grip me despite having no narrative drive – e.g. The Diary of a Provincial Lady.
Musical – practising a weird modern piece called Gentle Dreams on my sax which my teacher loves to bits. I, however, don’t see the attraction.
Horticultural – garden looking lovely, but several huge heaps of perennial weeds waiting to be taken to the tip.
