Recurring dreams and other screw-ups

Do you have recurring dreams?

I woke up this morning from my usual recurring dream which always, always focuses on communication difficulties, but with infinite variations.

Let me explain. In this recurring dream, which I have been having for years and years, I am having a problem with communication. If I am phoning someone, I get the wrong number or I am cut off, or the person I’m calling can’t hear me, or vice versa. Or I might be writing something, in which case my pencil breaks, or I can’t even find a pencil. If I am talking directly to someone, I have laryngitis, or they are deaf, or I don’t speak their language.

This morning I was dreaming I was sending a tweet to the BeeGees, (the Beegees??!!) but I was writing the tweet, not typing it, and I kept doing the @ sign wrong.

OMG.

Sally Howe of Plotting for Beginners and Plotting for Grown-ups has started tweeting under the name of @SallyStoneymoor. Twice I have found myself having an interchange with her on Twitter. Should I be worried about my sanity?

I have these dreams too. Sometimes it is an old fashioned dial-up phone and I can't get the number right, or the phone falls apart!

Do you think it's relevant that we're both writers, Chrissie?
